“We wanted Emma to make a bespoke wedding collage that would add the finishing touch for our newly extending kitchen diner. We couldn’t be more happy with what Emma has created! Emma’s clever use of different materials and great choice of colour has given us a beautiful unique piece of art that stands centre stage in our dining room. Carolyn and Alexis

Inspiration

Carolyn and Alexis were married in the Autumn of 2017. They wanted a
wedding collage to sit pride of place in their newly decorated dining room. They were keen to capture the Autumn scenery of Coltsford Mill in Kent, where they were married. Coltsford Mill is surrounded by trees and streams, and features a wooden gazebo and bridges, which are all featured on the collage.

The Process

This mixed-media collage was made on wood planks and created with mixture of wallpapers, dried autumn leaves, twigs, flowers, table decorations and Carolyn and Alexis’ wedding photos. The leaf shaped ‘word art’ on the trees, feature their names, date they were married and positive words of love.

Isabelle & Clive

Clive and Isabelle’s rustic and relaxed wedding was held on their land in France. This fun and quirky couples (Yes, the groom really did wear a Napoleon suit down the aisle) wanted their wedding collage made with bright and cheerful colours and to be kept small in size to fit in their tiny wooden house! (house seen in the collage)

The collage was made from photos taken from their wedding day and their land during summer time. Framed in a ornate gilt frame.

“We received the most wonderful thing in our world, created by Emma. Our socks are blown off! We are completely overwhelmed how she has captured our big day, its like a three- dimensional colourful album cover from the 70’s, with all our life details in it!

Nature Inspired Collage

Inspiration

I managed to find this huge metal framed art in a charity shop for £10! I knew immediately it would be perfect form the job in mind! It wasnt much to look at with its plain copper finish, but it had a great shape and lots of potential.

The Process

The plan was to create a bold nature inspired piece of art. I started by painting the whole of the frame with black gloss paint. The images are from either taking on my walks out in the Ashdown Forest, days out with my family or my garden. As always, I used digital effects to change the look, colour and size of the original photos. I used stencils for write “Life is a series of tiny little miracles – Notice them”.
