“Mixed Media Collage” (2020) by Emma Mullender
Mixed Media Butterfly collage
I don’t always feel creative, but when I do, I’ll start making something almost immediately! When I create something on the spur of the moment, it’s likely to be made with wrapping papers and feature butterflies or peacocks! I always have a stack of beautiful wrapping papers to choose from (I have a bit of an addiction) I bought the two second hand small frames from a charity shop, the plan was to make two complimentary pictures that would look together on the wall together.
Art doesn’t have to cost a lot of money to make, or take a lot of time. Creativity costs nothing and is therapeutic too. With the use of paints, felt tip pens and wrapping papers, I have made two original mixed-media collages in 1 afternoon and for the grand total of £12 . The two compliment each other well and look great on the wall together.
